I have a Pentax Consumer Price List effective February 1, 1982. It lists under SMC TAKUMAR LENSES: (SCREW MOUNT: SUPPLIED WITH CASE): Code#22351 SMCT 35mm f/3.5 $147.00 suggested list price. Apparently still available new in 1982.

Compact lens, but it's optical quality is quite interesting. There is no noticeable lack of contrast at f/3.5 (wide-opened), no glows, the only difference to f/8 is slight corner softness. Extremely low chromatic aberration (slightly lower compared to SC Curtagon 35/2.8), very good sharpness.
